Protect 2nd amendment

I don't get how people actually think doing away with the second amendment will make them more safe. Look at the cities that have the strictest gun laws. They have the most shootings, imagine that. These gun free zones make it unsafe to protect yourself from criminals. The second amendment is there for a reason. It protects us from the government also. I hope I'm not alive if we loose our second amendment right. Stand up and fight for our rights!.
