![Author with Book.jpg](https://images.hive.blog/DQmRrjBLgiHArx5DwuKv3i8QrNWrfDD8yrfxuJG2ZJVRm72/Author%20with%20Book.jpg)

It seems I’ve been gone longer than two years. I am here because I told several people I would come back and give an update once my new venture took off.

So, here I am.

Writing in here is bringing back so many memories. I took a glance at some of my old posts and realized how much of my life I shared with you all. Much of my creativity and passion came alive from blogging here…I’m so grateful for that foundation. I’m not only here to give you an update about my life but I hope you drop a comment about how you’ve been doing as well. Tell me what’s new. 😊

My life coaching journey has opened up so many new opportunities. I have been able to sit in seats and be in places I never thought I would. I have organized and spoke at conferences (both in-person and virtual) with a group of phenomenal women I call sisters.

I have learned so much in the mental health field and how to better serve my community. I love what I do, I enjoy supporting my clients and watching them grow and heal. It has been quite the journey and I am steadily learning and gaining more knowledge as I work. I attend trainings and workshops throughout the year to keep up with new evolving techniques, psychological research and ethical standards. I enjoy attending because I always leave refreshed and connected to others.

Yes, that is what I’ve become! I recently published my first book called Pocket Life Coach, which is a coaching guided prompt journal for overthinking. Many of my clients struggle with ruminating thoughts which leave them stuck in their heads. This can lead to stress, anxiety and even exhaustion. I created this journal to help the reader better understand their thoughts and determine if what they are feeling/thinking is true. A lot of times our emotions are based off assumptions and we need to take some time to reflect on why we’re feeling what we’re feeling.

This journal provides 60 prompted entries with a variety of encouraging quotes, scriptures and space to write out your prayers. It is full of helpful resources like coping strategies, a body scan exercise, an emotional intensity scale, triggers and much more. Throughout the prompts you’ll find coaching checkpoints where I ask a series of questions to help you reflect on your journey. It was made to help you pause and reflect.

I wanted the experience to be like the reader sitting with me in a session and guiding them through the questions, helping them come to their own conclusions.

We created our own publishing company called Heart in Hands Publishing™. We know that when someone writes, they are putting their heart and soul into their work. We want people to know that when they trust us to promote or publish their book, we understand their hearts are in our hands and we will treat it with care and diligence.

I also created our consumer brand called OwnThoughts™. This is the umbrella all of my Pocket Life Coach books will be placed under. The name came from me working with my clients to help them "own" their own thoughts. Not just that, but figure out what they are thinking and not so focused on what others are telling them to think. I am already working on the next book in the collection.

As stated earlier, it’s been quite a journey but all of the long hours and hard work are already paying off. It’s pretty surreal to be the first in my family to publish a book. I am setting the stage and creating a pathway for my children to write, create and dream.

I’ll place a link here if anyone is interested in learning more about the book or even purchasing your own copy on Amazon. My hopes are that this tool supports many people in slowing down, taking time for themselves to reflect and challenging themselves to think deeper. This is a tool that has even helped therapist take time for themselves and they are also using it as a check-in method for their clients. This would be a good ice breaker for a group setting as well.

Homeschooling is Still a Priority

All of the things I mentioned above I do for my family. My husband and I are working to build something special to pass on to our children. No matter how much more I add to my plate, homeschooling our kids will always be a top priority. I am learning to balance it all (it does get very hard at times). I have to learn to take more breaks and rest my brain because it is always full of ideas or the next thing I need to do.

We recently joined another co-op group where I now teach Spanish to first through third graders. It’s an amazing group and it has been helpful to both myself and the kiddos. It’s a blessing being surrounded by other likeminded people. We attend on enrichment day where they have P.E, music, art, stem, social studies class and more. The older kids have finance classes, learn automotive skills, home keeping and more. My oldest girl is now 16 years old and my youngest daughter is 8. The boys are ages 14, 13 and 10. CAN'T believe I don’t have babies any more. My babies grew up here on Hive. ☺️

Those are the most relevant updates I wanted to share. It’s good to know Hive is still going and people continue to post daily.

Please hit me up in the comments to let me know how you’ve been.

Thanks for reading my two year update ~ ❤️
