𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱.

On a beautiful Monday morning, I was on the way to my place of Work, I boarded a tricycle and as the journey began I noticed something unusual about the driver’s seat, I could see a wheelchair attached to it, I took a look at the driver and I noticed both legs were amputated, I wondered how the driver was able to move the tricycle only for me to discover that the tricycle was customized to suit his current condition. I asked him why he opted to be a Keke rider and not seat by the roadside begging for alms his response gave me some chills through my nerves he said he would rather be useful to himself, and family rather than be at the mercy of others. I have seen situations where people who aren't handicapped go on social media begging for “urgent 2k” when they have all it takes to make that same amount if they just quit being lazy. I was inspired by the driver and I had to pay more than I was expected to pay when I arrived at my destination. Truly disability is a state of the mind.
