MinerGate, Legit or Scam?

Hey guys, so i was looking for a mining app to use online for free and i came across MinerGate, they recommended one of theirs for my pc, I tried downloading and firefox sent a warning that the file contains virus/malware.. who else has used or is using MinerGate. I want to know if it is legit of scam.
