Buterin proposes to simplify Ethereum and speed it up by 100 times
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin called on the blockchain community to reconsider the approach to the network design, advocating for a more minimalistic and efficient structure, which will increase the efficiency, scalability and security of the network.
Buterin emphasized that simplicity should become the core value of Ethereum along with decentralization. The network should evolve towards solutions that provide clarity, reliability and long-term sustainability.
Replacing the existing Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) with a new, simpler and more efficient one, should bring up to a 100-fold increase in productivity in the execution of smart contracts.
