Starknet developers plan to launch the solution on the Bitcoin network
The developers of the second-layer solution for the Ethereum network Starknet are going to launch a sidechain on the Bitcoin blockchain to "combine the advantages of both networks."
According to the "roadmap," the innovation will increase the throughput of the first cryptocurrency's blockchain, reduce the volume of blocks and transaction fees, and improve the user experience.
The developers note that although many see Bitcoin as simply "digital gold," some users want to use BTC for other purposes. If successful, decentralized application developers will be able to launch their projects on Starknet, which will work on top of the Bitcoin network.
