My first half marathon!

Yesterday it was time for my first marathon! I was really nervous. After a really good breakfast it was time to leave to The Hague. It was raining the whole morning, but the moment I left the house it stopped raining. The train was filled with other runners and I was very excited.

At 15:00 it was finally time to start the run, the first part was very crowded but after a few km's there was more space to continue the run in your own pace.
Unfortunately after approximately 5km I got stomach pain and I became sick. At some points this became worse so I had to walk a little bit. A couple of times I really wanted to quit.

But after all this effort I completed the run and earned this beautiful medal! :)
