You Can’t Stop
As I continue preparing for the upcoming awareness/fund raising event, I've been completing early morning walks in the hope that I'll be conditioned enough to finish the 79 kilometres. While I've alwaye been adamant that I'll get through the distance, yesterday, I came to an explosive🤯 realisation.

Keep up that training! Stopping isn't an option... I do hope when the time comes for the real deal the weather is better though.
How is your fundraising coming?
Yeah, so do I! September is spring down here so it should be better, but it’s always difficult to predict if there’ll be a drawn out winter. I mean, either way, I’ll walk on, but some sunshine will be nice.
The fundraising is slow going. We’ve raised nearly $2000. Which is better than we had, but nowhere near what the school will need to build the playground. I’m not much of a marketer, but I think I’ll need to try and strike it lucky with some large corporations, (which kind of goes against the idea of awareness raising), if we’re to meet the mark. What I really need, is a well-known influencer to promote it for me. My social media reach is only a few hundred, at best. I think I need someone with a few hundred thousand, or more.
Nevertheless, as with the ‘you can’t stop’ attitude towards the walk, I’ll keep plugging away. You never know when it’ll hit a chord with someone and potentially go viral. What do they say? ‘It’s always a no if you never ask.’ Or something like that.
