Free your Mind

How can we free our mind
When our world is in a bind
When our thirst of justice
Is scorned by the police
When we pay with our Blood
The puny scraps of food
Begged from the UNO pallets
Seasoned with bullets
And to us hastily spoonfed
With a steady diet
Of a Western mantra
Reeking of their nefarious agenda
When we are subdued.
And our dreams are invaded
By nightmares of a dreadful future.
When our homes are not secure,
And our door could be cracked open
Without even a warrant or a reason
Stipended hooligans holding us hostage
Our dear ones witness to the rampage
Our property becoming a free-for-all
And our bodies a prey in our downfall
Our livelihood jeopardized
Our customs bastardized
Everything that's dear to us
Transformed into a gory mess
Our traditions and terms of endearment
Turned into cheap entertainment
When our morality is ripped to shreds
By a tsunami of dubious broadcasts
At that fateful and dreaded moment
Should we roll over and enjoy the torment,
Stand up and open up with all we got
Or concoct a peaceful offering to our God?
Please help me figure it out
I am just looking for a way out
