People bathe in "small beach" Acheloos River. Among Korfovouni Agrafa, Valtos Frousos and mountains, lies the Acheloos valley, which is the natural boundary of the prefectures of Arta, Aitoloakarnania and Evrytania and Karditsa. Fishing and swimming in the river at 700 meters altitude, settlements springing up through the firs, religious monuments and historic sites, complete a tour guide, which the visitor should follow. River Acheloos locals call and Aspropotamos the White, because its waters are running over white pebbles. Between the slopes of the mountains, the river forms a "small beach" which always gives breaths of coolness to the villagers and, especially in recent years, is the meeting point for emigrants who return every summer with their families. The images of the river, reminiscent of a tropical coast.
