Gossip Girl Is Coming Back

I am really excited about the up coming announcement that Gossip Girl will once again be back on TV screens with a new series. However I have to admit that the previous Gossip Girl definitely had its draw backs, apart from the interesting characters and luring insentive to lose onesself in the lives of the super rich.

Marathoning through the last Gossip Girl series several months ago, left me both intrigued but also exhausted with repetitiveness and making the series stretch out for too long. Then, when it came to the last season and especially the last episode, it was as if they had had enough of the series and cut it short, plonking everything into one scene and watering down the most awaited scenes of the series.

The last episode where the couples eventually came together, was really disappointing and should have been stretched out and detailed into more episodes. I actually wished they did not end it the way they did. To hear that they will be changing the new gossip girl with less of a follow-up from the first one, I believe, could actually redeem it. Let's hope they do not make the same mistake by boring the audience with too much of a repitition of similar events.
