Exiting the Matrix at 18

Hello Steem users, nice to finally meet all of you. My name is Damian and I've been a long time Steem lurker, mostly using the platform to gain more knowledge about blockchain technologies. I've lived in Central Florida the entirety of my life and just recently left the Eastern time zone for the first time in my life.

At 18 I was a salesman at a top 5 Harley-Davidson dealership, and I would consistently make $4000 monthly with the best months being around$10000. To most people that kind of job and money at such a young age is a huge accomplishment. Except I've always had higher aspirations for myself than trading 60 hours of my life every week for a nice check. Even though motorcycling is one of my passions I realized I can't work in a stressful retail sales environment and live the life I desired at the same time.

The idea of College never really appealed to me either. Why would I go to school to learn for $60000+++ when the same information is free on the Internet. I did always want to travel and go see the world and a co-worker of mine showed me how. Coolworks.com is allowing me to see some of the coolest places in the USA while having a job and employee housing. I get to meet people from all over the world while making travel videos and making memories.

Even though these jobs across the country allow me to travel, I'm still working for somebody other than myself. Deep down that irks me because I know I am capable of turning my dreams into reality. Recently I realized the amount of potential the cryptocurrency market has. I've known about bitcoin and a few other currencies for years and for whatever reason I felt like I was too late 2 years ago. Now I'm not making the same mistake and I invested most of my finances into various cryptocurrencies that I see great potential in. Most in the crypto market know that blockchain is going to be a big part of the future and that means there's lots of $$$ to be made. I'm glad to be here with you guys so we can ride this wave all the way to financial freedom!
