Dont overvalue empathy

We are apes with empathy and morals of social animal. Just because we dont protect other species doesnt make us bad, but it does make the expectations of it unrealistic. No other species does it. Its not natural. Its not what evolution produces. If you value empathy you should value humans because no other species feels as much empathy towards other species. Too much empathy is dangerous. Feeling empathy to creature trying to kill you doesnt end well. Feeling empathy for your food leads to starvation. Feeling empathy for a potential ally is useful though.
