ShapeShift memberships

As some of you already know, the ShapeShift platform has recently introduced a new requirement that all exchanges must be done from logged-in member accounts. This has caused the ShapeShift extension to Bitcoin and Altcoin Wallets to not work any more.

This issue is now addressed in version 1.1.0 of the ShapeShift extension. To continue using the extension, you can sign up to the service, and get an authorization token associated to your account. Enter this token in the ShapeShift settings in your WordPress admin screens (Wallets → ShapeShift → Authorization token ). The settings screen contains complete instructions on how to get this token.

Alternatives to ShapeShift

A number of you have voiced concerns about the new requirement to login and wish to use a different platform that does not require login. There are several options available, and at least one such extension will be released soon. Keep in mind that, even without the requirement to login, you are NOT completely anonymous when using any of these swapping services.

Other requests

I am aware that there are a few pending user requests for this extension (mostly UI issues), and these will be addressed in a later patch release of the extension.
