🔌 Cable chaos in the server room 🚨

Do you know those server rooms where you can barely
see the hardware because of all the cables?
I used to think, "It works, it's running."
But now I know:
a messy and disorganized cabling system is not a luxury,
it’s an absolute must-have!

For me it’s clear: Good cabling is the foundation of a stable IT system.
It’s worth planning in a structured way from the start instead of waiting
to clean up when problems occur.

I saw this some weeks ago
I have to admit that the server room at the company I work for has improved a lot over the last 15 years. It went from hundreds of cables to something much more tidy. I remember seeing all those cables in the server room and always wondering if there was someone who could figure out where each individual cable went.
There are really a lot of cables in this photo. I hope there is a diagram of these cables that explains where they start and where they end.
It must have been a nightmare to manage all those cables back then.
A well-organized server room not only looks better
but also makes troubleshooting so much easier. Huge respect to whoever took on that challenge!
