The Lesson Life Taught Me This Period
This period, life taught me a very bitter lesson I never wanted to learn any time soon.
I lost both my parents, almost at the same time. Dad died first and followed by his wife, my loving mother.

One day I had parents to called. The next day, I didn’t and there is no right way to express my feelings. Sometimes, angry guilt, relief, sadness, exhaustion and sometimes all of them can show up at once.
And now I am learning what it means to navigate life without their guidance and advice, and even burial preparations, for them. Yes, I know it's okay for children to bury their parents but certainly, not in this pattern. It's sad.

The lesson isn’t beautiful. It’s painful.
It taught me that people are temporary. It taught me to say I LOVE YOU now, not later. Yes I used capital letters to describe it.
It taught me that grief and responsibility can come together, and that’s okay. Courage is a virtue.
I don’t have all the answers yet. I’m just taking it one day at a time. But again, who will tell me the answers if I asked?
May the souls of my father and mother rest in peace forever amen.

To anyone who has walked this road, how did you find strength in the early days?
Please help a brother and friend.
Let's discuss.
Thank you for reading.
