ENGLISH

Hello, friends of this wonderful community. In this new Talent Gathering, our dear friend @angelica7 invites us to reflect on personal growth, so we’re continuing with the fourth agreement from Don Miguel Ruiz’s book, The Four Agreements, which is: Always do your best.

Friends, always doing your best is, without a doubt, a transformative habit. I’ll tell you that when I first read about this agreement, several powerful ideas stuck with me, and one of the phrases that resonated most deeply in my mind and heart was the one that reminds us that God is life, and life is action. I think the best way to say “I love you” to God—and to thank Him for life—is by taking action, taking risks, and making things happen.

Living in the present means fully enjoying what we do; it helps us make decisions and leave the past behind. That’s why we focus on giving our very best, because that’s how we stay in the present. Another quote that had a profound impact on me was the one that reminds us that we were born to be happy, to love, to enjoy life, and to share. This quote reminds us that being alive is the greatest gift we can receive. That’s why the only thing we can do with our lives is enjoy them, without resisting their flow through us.

So, always doing our very best is based on the idea of giving our all in every situation, regardless of the circumstances or the final results. Here in this passage, the author explains that by committing to giving our best, we free ourselves from self-criticism, guilt, and self-judgment. Instead of obsessing over perfection or unattainable goals, it’s about focusing our energy on the present, accepting our abilities each day, letting go of comparisons, and always acting with integrity.

So, friends, I understand that “doing our best” varies from day to day: there will be days when we have all the energy in the world, and others when our best is simply to rest and be kind to ourselves. The important thing is not to push ourselves out of frustration, but to act out of love and gratitude.
>I’m grateful to our friend @angelica7 for bringing up this thought-provoking and enriching topic that invites us to look inward. Until next time.
