Teething Terrors

Hello Steemers!

I am back with my mommy chronicles! So, imagine finally getting the hang of parenthood. Your baby is on a schedule, you have more time for housework, yourself, and maybe even catching up on a show or two right!.....WRONG! You are minding your business when you suddenly hear this outrageous smacking sound. You look up and see your baby DEVOURING HIS/HER FINGERS! Saliva is everywhere and the baby's shirt, face, and hands are drenched. You go to remove the delicious fingers from your child's mouth only to find two small nubs under their gums. Then you think of all the stories and the harshness that comes with.......TEETHING! That's right, my 4 month old baby is preparing to have some choppers and I am flashing back to those sleepless nights that followed her being a newborn. She puts any and everything in her moth to soothe her little gums and all I can do is pray that she doesn't get a hold of a germ! Don't believe me, well here is solid proof!

At this point, I need all tips on how to alleviate any irritation that follows teething. I have given her a teething ring from the freezer but she does not enjoy the cold temperature. I have wet a soft cloth in cool water for her to have and she tosses it like a football. I have purchased the Orajel but I want more feedback on results before applying it to her gums. What are some other things I can do? I am excited for this milestone but I dread the process that she will have to endure. Please comment and help me and baby Dakota out!
