First, you need to understand how to structure your contribution which the predefined template will be of help to you.

Components

Specify the components/features/interfaces/applications of the software your suggestion relates to

Write about the component of the project you want to propose feature on, you could write the feature available and conclude this section by specifying in the main section of the project you like to improve.
Thus! make it informative.

Proposal Description

Detail your proposal in length and explain how you think the above mentioned components/parts/sections should be modified/enhanced.

In this section describe the feature or features you want to propose, explain in details, make it realistic and provide as much details as possible.

Mockups / Examples

If applicable, insert visual mockups, examples, and flow-charts to show the possible result of the implementation of your suggestion

Here, It's meant to provide mockups such as pictures, gif, video, chart or any other notion to make your suggestion realistic and to give a pictorial illustrations

Benefits

Illustrate and explain in depth the added value and benefits that your proposal holds, and the problems it will solve if implemented.

This last section is to explain the benefits of your suggestion on the project, how users and the project owner could benefit from your idea and conclude your contribution

Note: It's not mandatory to use the template but it helps to make contribution look nice and easy to read.

I advise you read and assimilate a blog post by @knowledges for a better understanding of suggestion category.
