What is PolyShard?

PolyShard is a sharding algorithm (data separation in the blockchain) in the Unit-e cryptocurrency network created by scientists from leading universities in the world.

PolyShard encodes information during its verification and storage in the blockchain. Each node stores a coded version of subnets (usually this information is stored in unencrypted form). The coding of the sub history chain is performed using the Lagrange interpolation polynomial. Therefore, the technology is called - PolyShard.

PolyShard allows you to achieve optimal throughput and security for transactions in a chain.
