A while ago, on a podcast that I can't remember the name of, Nat Diaz said he's got "plans" for 2018. With this recent Instagram post, it looks like Nate is really coming back this year.

Would be great having him back. It's always entertaining hearing him harass his opponents. Who knows, maybe if we're lucky we'll get Nick back as well.

It will be interesting to see who he will fight.
Nate has been waiting for a huge payday to come back and fight. The UFC is not going to pay for him to fight anyone. The only fight that people want to see him in is the Connor fight.
The way to beat Nate is to kick his lead leg. He uses a traditional boxing stance and depends heavily on his reach. Josh Thompson and Dos Anjos were able to handle him convincingly due to that attack alone.
Connor uses his reach to his advantage and the reason why Nate gave him problems the first time around. Connor does not have a strong kicking game.

I personally would like to see Nate against Eddie Alverez, Kevin Lee or even Justin Gaethje.
All of those would be great exciting fights.
