Swaying into Dusk Between Waves

Lying in a hammock closing my eyes
Enjoying the solitude
Listening the sound of gentle waves
The sun is warming my face
Drops of sweat running slowly down my skin
As summer wind brushes against my face
Moving my hair like a smooth cat tail.

Opening my eyes to the bright sun has just begun to set over the water. The sun reflected orange below the clouds in the sky. The sunset was beautiful, and I would always remember it, a perfect kind of moment evoking a summer getaway.

The sun would not always be there lifting our spirits and keeping us warm. Falling in love at sunset was a simple exercise. The joy that my partner brings me also makes me smile at sunset.

This moment was so magical and beautiful; I was wrapped in colors as if they were real and yet beautiful, leaving me astounded. I savored the warm and comforting feeling it produced in me, as if the moment soothed the rats that spun my tired mind.

I felt blessed as I watched the sun set. Time slowed down. I savored every moment of my life when I could relax on a hammock like previous weekends. With each sunset that I was able to reflect on, the infinite time in this sunlight graciously calmed my thoughts, and I felt fulfilled.

Time away from my busy life in the city cleared my mind to take away my doubts. In this moment of gratitude, I felt fulfilled. At that moment, watching the sunset resulted in fresh inspiration for the next day. I couldn’t explain it, but watching the sun set over the water unlocked peace in my soul and that feeling often healed my old wounds.
