The prophecy was fulfilled - Prince of Persia
Good morning, everyone. I think this post can be summed up in one word: “nostalgia.” Yes, because lately I've been remembering that hero who, as a child, gave me epic moments with mystical stories of villains and a world on the brink of collapse, and only I, controlling this character, could bring everything back to normal while doing parkour, thus making the Prince of Persia a carefree man but with a great duty on his shoulders.
This time, I wanted to expand my catalog of titles in this saga, which, despite not having a specific guide for playing each release, involves the Prince of Persia, but in different eras and with different characters that we must get to know.
This story begins with the prince in the middle of the desert 🐫, searching for his donkey named Farah, which is loaded with gold.
I come across a girl who is running away from something, and as I discover the gameplay in the tutorial, I realize that this woman is a princess, the daughter of the king who is now pursuing her.
Sorry if this screenshot is a little suggestive, but it's because the princess literally fell off a cliff onto the Prince of Persia, xd.
Along the way, I remember why I loved the first title I tried in the series as a kid, which was “Prince of Persia and the Sands of Time.” Each step through the traps required an agile jump that I sometimes couldn't manage, but that was exactly what kept me hooked, because I had to overcome each obstacle to get closer to each clue that served the plot.
Well, following the princess, I see that she has some powers, like teleportation or something like that, but she makes it clear to me that she doesn't know her full potential yet.
The tree of life awaited us, and the princess gave us a bit of history, saying that a god of destruction is imprisoned beneath this natural monument, so we are going to see if everything is in order so that he is not released by the king.
But it's too late to prevent it, as the princess's father becomes stressed because his daughter doesn't love him and cuts down the tree, causing absolute chaos.
A few beasts controlled by the god of destruction now wander around, sleeping in darkness.
All that remains is to see the disaster that the King has caused by wanting to imprison his daughter, who has powers. To be honest, I need more lore from the game to understand the background.
In the meantime, I just want to thank you for joining me in reliving this gaming gem. I'll update you later on how I'm going to recover each kingdom with the princess's help.
