Have you ever walked in a pine forest with the misty rain gently falling and the quietness apart from some yellow tailed black cockatoos wheeling above making their unmistakable cry. The coming out of the vibrant green of the new foliage after the cloak of winter grey and darkness that inhabits a pine forest in winter is uplifting and often short lived before the dryness of a hot summer. The trees give their soft fresh perfume to the air before they give way to the strong smell of dry pines needles and grass which the summer heat will bring.
