Conquering fear

When I was still working in Crown Regency Hotel in Boracay there was this tourist attraction where one can get a picture with wild animals. My friends who was also my co-workers invited me to join. I was afraid at first specially with the lion as it was so big that I think it can swallow me whole. Good thing it was sleeping when I have my picture taken.

I was a little more at ease when they took my picture with the tiger. It was smaller than the lion. As you can see was more at ease that that of the lion.

The last animal that I took a picture with was the snake. I was even more scared with it than the lion. As you can see from in my posture I am not really at ease at all.

It was fun although I was a really scared. I am not sure it they are still there in Boracay since it was several years ago. I am now know how it might have felt in those "fear factor" contestants on TV that was expose with dangerous animals.

My post is about dealing with fear. The are many thing life that we are afraid of being alone and away from family is being one. When I first came to Kuwait I was afraid because I don't know how is it there and I have heard several horror stories of fellow Filipinos being maltreated and even killed. It was scary for me with a hint of excitement since I will be seeing anew country not too. I am glad that after several years of staying here nothing untoward happened to me. I am glad that I went here and was able to provide for my family. Yes it was hard and scary at first but after awhile you get used to it.
