Hey John,
Nice to meet you! Most of the introduction action takes place under the "introduceyourself" tag. You might like to edit this post to use that tag as the first one, then fill up the other four tag slots. Using as many tags as you can increases the visibility of your posts, and therefore more upvotes :)
Also, you can get a little bonus for any material that you've only posted on Steem by alerting the original works bot like this: @OriginalWorks !originalworks
