S.O.S HOW DO I AVOID INTEREST ON STEEM!!?

Hey there Steemians!

I have just joined Steem and I really like the platform but I am facing a serious DILEMMA and I need guidance.

Many belief systems that people adhere to forbid the use and especially the generation of interest. Remember when Jesus threw out the money lenders from the Temple in Jerusalem.....It was because of Interest! I also adhere to this even though I am not a christian! My intention is to earn on Steem over time by sharing high quality content but without generating Interest. So in order to do so I have decided to keep everything in STEEM. I understand that Interest is an integral part of our global financial system but I can't control that. what I can do is not generate it myself. I have taken the following steps.

1. I keep no STEEM in the Savings account.
2. I convert all Steem Dollars to STEEM.

But what about STEEM POWER? This generates interest hourly and I can't convert it to STEEM directly due to its 2 year long Power Down. Is there any way to opt out of interest generation or to eliminate it from my account?
