Brown purely handmade leather flipflops

I have always wanted to make to make some different from what i usually do.
I this post, i will be taking you the processes of making a leather flipflops by hand.
First i marked out the pattern of the uppers with the help of a premade pattern and the insole also with the help of a premade foot pattern on a brown(the colour i settled for) lether, cut them out. On a nora, i maked out a foot pattern using the same premade foot pattern, cut it out and attached the leather insole to the already cut nora foot pattern using gum to make the insole thicker.
I perforated both the upper and the insole with a leather punch for sewing.

Using a locally made awl and tread, i sewed the upper to the insole. This took am about an hour to get done. I then put a last in the already made uppers to give it the desired shape

On a pu material, i marked and cut out a foot pattern using the same premade foot pattern i use for the insole to form the sole of the flipflops. I attached the cut out sole to the already formed upper with gum and filled the sides using bench grinder to give me a nicely finished work
