Urban Chickens

Depending on the rules of where you live, having a chicken coop in the backyard can be a great way to enjoy fresh eggs while also taking care of animals that, in some ways, become like pets.

Chickens don’t require too much. Give them a coop to live in and food to eat and they’ll pop out eggs for you to eat on a consistent basis, which saves you money since you won’t have to buy them at your local market. 

Generally, you’ll want to fence your backyard chickens in so they don’t run away. You’ll have to clean up their poop (eventually) and you might need to clip some wings. Other than that, look forward to a good supply of fresh eggs straight from your backyard to your kitchen table.
