Snowy Landscape in Germany

We woke that particular morning to snow falling. We had left Cologne the previous day and spent a few hours wandering the enchanting streets of Monschau near the Dutch border before heading south for our overnight accomodation in a cabin in the woods of the Eifel National Park. We had arrived in the dark and were a little uncertain of our surroundings so when the day broke we were surprised and delighted when we looked out the windows onto the first flakes touching the ground.
