Constance the Good - 3 Emojis Portrait
👋 Hey Y'all!
Hello everyone and welcome back to emanate artworx. Today I want to share Constance the Good, my portrait for the ArtPark CryptoArt Community weekly 3 emojis challenge.
ArtPark is an artist and art enthusiast community that started at Noise.cash. I am still really new to the community, and Constance here represents my first major contribution.
Normally, I would never spend this long on one of my portraits, but seeing the work from my fellow ArtPark members has really inspired me to put forth another level of effort. So thanks everyone for pushing me to do better!
Also, if I'm being honest, I don't usually apply too much thought to my work, like as far as a back-story or symbolism goes. Typically I just make them for their aesthetic appeal. (No OC development here 😆 lol.)
Having this #3emojis prompt was a little different because it forced me to think about how to materialize 3 random things into one cohesive thing. It was good to stretch my imagination a little, for once.
If I could change one thing, I'd do something with more pizzazz for the background, but I was at a loss after trying many different options so I just left her in front of a screen tone pattern. Sorry, girl, I did the best I could this time.😏😘

Whoa this is really good Ema! I think sketching on the paper really helped to get the right anatomy here. This is what I do before I draw digitally.

Ah, thank you Solumviz. It's funny, when I practice sketching it's always on paper, but I don't always make a paper sketch for my digital worx : / I should take a page from your book!
Ehhh, well it worked, obvi, but it wasn't without complaints! Slow like molasses past the first few layers 😆
Sheesh I won't be able to paint like that XD. It affects the natural strokes sometimes. I wish I had a big tab lolz. That redmi tab is still not bug free.
Yeah, it does affect, you're right. Paper still feels way more...natural. Sometimes it feels like we're in the stone age of drawing apps, although we (humans) have come a long way in this arena. Spoiled 🤣
I bet some money can solve all our issues right now haha. I think there will be a new tab release for mi soon. Better get ready for that haha.
