Portrait Wednesday

Hi Everyone!

Hello Sketchbook Community, and welcome back to emanate artworx. Today, I want to share my portrait of Wednesday Addams from the Netflix series. I was inspired by @bananzell to make this portrait after she made the suggestion on the ArtPark discord server.

One of the references I used was from the dance scene where the ambiance is very blue and purple, so the palette followed suit. The floofy, frilly sleeves on the dress were a big challenge since I don't usually include detailed clothes in my portraits. Ngl, I kinda got to a point where I just called it good so I could finish this thing 😆.

I haven't actually watched the series, but I've seen mentions of it all over the internet (not to mention Hive), along with all the Jenna Ortega pics out there. I did watch the 1990s Addams family movies with Christina Ricci when I was a youngster, though.

Sooo, here's my version of Wednesday, even though the likeness is not quite 💯 haha! I kept seeing John Travolta in her face 😂, but it's all good.
