The New Creation

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Christian is a new Creation. He is a new man who never existed before with a new kind of life, the God kind of life. The new Creation is not refurbished, he is a brand new person with a new life and character created with the nature of God in his spirit.

When you get born again, your natural human life was replaced with the life of God. Being born again is not just referring to a new life in terms of age, because it's just starting. It particularly means a new life in terms of quality and type, thus making you a new type of man in Christ Jesus.

You may be wondering what it means to be living a life that is not of God. It definitely means a life subjected to the things of this world. A life under the ruler and influence of the devil. Te devil is like a thief that comes in the night to kill, steal and destroy. A life of an unbeliever is a life of sin and condemnation, where you don't have the right to choose and decide the things which happens around you.

You may be living a life of sin, fornication, theft or prostitution today, but the moment you give your life to God by accepting Jesus as the Lord of your life, you henceforth received a new type of life, which is the God type o life. Thus, making you a new Creation. The old you no longer existed anymore, now you have a new life. It is just like fixing a brand new engine in an old car, the body of the car will still look the same but the car is no longer an old car.

No one can be said to be a Christian until there's first been a supplanting of the old life with which he was born by his biological parents with the divine life of God. It's a new life altogether! This is the reason we can live supernaturally here on Earth.
