Cairns Tablelands Day Trip

Last weekend I took my family on an amazing sunday adventure, driving through scenes of picturesque rolling hills of all shades of green. Up over the the Kuranda range and on to the Atherton Tablelands. Past fruit farms, Sugar Cane farms, Nut and coffee farms as well as Avocado orchards.
We visited a bunch of different sized waterfalls which were all just so magnificent in their own right their names were.

Millaa Millaa Falls
Zillie Falls, Ellinjaa Falls & Malanda Falls

The first 3 waterfalls were on a 12km circuit, You drive through Malanda Falls to get to the other 3. All up its a 246km roundtrip from Cairns which took us around 6 hours as we stopped to have a picnic lunch at Millaa Millaa Falls.

My favourite was definitely standing on top of Ellinjaa Falls. I've never stood so close to an edge of a waterfall it was so scary yet breathtakingly peaceful at the same time.
