Many times when we try to help people that are passing through difficult times, because of the love and compassion we have for them, we end up do for them what they ought to do for themselves.

We often forget the fact that we cannot help men permanently by doing for them what
they could and should do for themselves.

Giving people fish is not the way out of their predicament, but teaching them to fish, because that would make them to be responsible for themselves.

If you truly want to help anybody, do it in such a way that they will be responsible for themselves so that they will not be a liability on the long run.
