Through the Darkness, Give Thanks.

Family gathered
loved ones brought near
the smells of pumpkin
sounds of laugher and cheer

My eyes are dim
my hands they itch
my smile is grim
however, I cherish

I cherish the love
for sisters who sing
for flowers and forget me nots
and all this good living

For parents that care
and brothers who tease,
for all the good thoughts
despite the lack of ease

For life no matter how hard
I am thankful for every second
I will stay and give love
and I will live in this moment.
