Still She Stands
A gentle soul, twisted in part
Pains cruel blow, a perfect heart
No privileged guide, her own direct
Smiles to fight, strengths interject
Childhood scars, sprinkled in light
A journey learnt, despite her plight
Growing pains, that always last
Inner demons, reflect her past
Lifetime strained, no end in sight
A darkened day, a restless night
Fighting ghosts, behind her door
Retracting echos, now on the floor
A final blow, the end for some
Up she gets, her fight now won
Still she stands, her face so proud
Her own reward, her solo crowd

Poetry, always the words that speak to me. Nice poem dear
The last stanza shows that there is light after the tunnel. Her fight she won and her face so proud. Nice one.
