Ube Halaya

Ube Halaya or Ube Jam is a dessert from the Philippines made from boiled and mashed purple yam, that is mixed with condensed milk, butter and coconut milk. The mixture is stirred until thickened, the mixture is cooled down and placed on a platter or into containers of various shapes.

Her sweetened purple yam is usually eaten as is but it is also used for halo-halo(mix fruits with thin iced) and filling for cakes and tarts.

There are more delicious desserts and sweet foods in the Philippines enjoy and experience it.
