Guggenheim Musem in Bilbao

Following up my previous post from a short trip to Bilbao, here are few pics I took of the incredible shapes and figures of the museum building. Originals were in colour but since I’m mostly a black and white kind of guy here are some conversion performed in DxO Optics and tweaked a bit in Aperture.

The entire outer shell of the museum is made of titanium scales

While the overall shape is rather angular, from some views it becomes a series of morbid waves

Just outside the main building the scary spider nicknamed "maman"

Like a boat breaking the waves

These small apertures looks like wounds on the outer shell

From a different angle you get a different image
