eosio Position on Dividends

eosio.sg does not think the vote buying will benefit the development of EOS. We would not have any plan for directly sharing BP rewards with voters if we could become Block Producer. However, Eosio.SG will invest part of the BP rewards to boost the development of EOS community for the long-term benefit of the community.

Firstly, eosio.sg believes it will be harmful to the behavior of the participants in this community, the values of the community will be led to focus more and more on economic interest incentives and ignore other aspects of the community, hence it will impede the long-term development of EOS.

Secondly, eosio.sg believes that a qualified BP should take the sake of all voters into consideration instead of only caring about the its own supporters. The BP should strike to work for the prosperity, benefit and future of the whole community and play an exemplary role to ensure the community can have a healthy value.

Last but not least, eosio.sg thinks it will make more sense to invest the rewards into the community public welfare projects compared to directly reward sharing. Everyone will benefit from a steadily growing EOS community if this community can keep growing and progressing with the investment from Block Producers, and the value everyone can get is much bigger and more sustainable than that of vote buying.
