Quotation marks are fun to use. Sure there is the official usage for them. That is mark words and text copied from somebody else. They can be used for irony, and other fun uses. Here are two sentences for examples.
I like to swim.
I like to "swim".
Two different sentences with two different meanings. Punuation marks are interesting like that. I am pretty ignorant when to comes to some very specific punctuation despite being a writer. I often have to look up examples online.
One of the harder punctuation marks for me to use are colons and semicolons. Semicolons are used as a pause between two sentences. Here is an example usage of a colon.
Here is a list of dog breeds: German Shepherds, Siberian Husky, Poodle, Akita, and Shibu Inu.
