THE CARDINAL

The Cardinal

(Carduelis cucullata, Red Siskin)

The Cardinal is a little bird
native of Venezuela with small
relict populations in your state
natural in eastern Colombia,
North-coastal states of Venezuela,
Guyana and the island of Trinidad.

During the II World Congress of
Tourism and Environment held in
Margarita in 1993, a group of
researchers participated in the
Field seminar "La Reserva
Natural Private "here at the Hacienda
Guáquira

What was the surprise of an expert in
birds when detecting the presence in their
natural state of elusive CardinaL
which is cataloged as a species in
danger of extinction by the IUCN and
US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Very appreciated by collectors of
birds, the Cardinal has been
successfully reproduced in
captivity and its capture in state
Natural is expressly prohibited.
HOW BEAUTIFUL IS VENEZUELA ... WE TAKE CARE OF OUR FAUNA.
