3 years, $0, 1000 Google searches: My Day 1 on Hive
For 3 years I've been typing the same thing into Google.
"How to make money online".
"Apps that pay".
"Work from home with no investment".
3 years.
$0 in my pocket.
1000 searches.
I'm not lazy. I watched every YouTube video. I downloaded 30+ apps. I read blog posts at 2am. But every method had a catch: pay first, invite 50 friends, or wait 6 months for $0.50. So I quit. Tried again. Quit again.
Sound familiar?
My biggest problem wasn't effort. It was noise. Too much info, zero direction.
Every "guru" promised 0/day.
That changes today.
This is my Day 1 on Hive.
I'm in Beira, Mozambique, using Gbox + Chrome on my phone. No laptop. No investment. Just internet and time. I'm not promising you $1000 this month.
I'm promising you honesty.
My goal for month 1 is simple: learn how this works and cash out my first 1. If I can do 10. If I can do $10, I can build from there.
So this is my plan:
1. Post here 2x per week about what I am learning. Real stuff. No fluff.
2. Read and upvote other new creators. Because we gotta help each other.
3. Track every cent. I'll show screenshots when I cash out.
I don't know if Hive will work for me. Maybe it won't. But after 3 years and 1000 Google searches, I finally found a place that pays me to learn AND write.
That's enough to try.
Day 1 starts now.
Question for you: How long did you search before finding something real online? 1 year? 3 years? Comment below. Let's see who's been in the same boat.

Estevao, your Day 1 post is powerful — especially the part about searching “how to make money online” for 3 years, only to realize the real problem was noise, not effort. I also like that you’re starting from Beira with just your phone and a clear goal of earning your first $1; that kind of honesty stands out here. Since you want to track your progress and account growth, hivestats.io could be really useful for watching your HP and rewards over time, and @leo.voter can help support consistent quality posts as you keep publishing twice a week. What kind of topics are you thinking of writing about first as you learn Hive?

Thanks, Rafiki. I appreciate the feedback and the tips.
I'll focus on these topics first:
I'll post twice a week and track progress on http://hivestats.io as you suggested. Thanks for the support.
