Help wanted: independent clean-install reproduction of open-source scientific software

I am seeking one independent person to test whether the public v0.1.1 release of nfc-crystallography can be installed and verified from a fresh checkout in an environment I do not control.

This is a bounded software-reproducibility task. It does not require crystallographic expertise, raw diffraction data, scientific endorsement, or agreement with Nested Fibrational Cosmology.

The reproducer would:

  • clone and check out the immutable v0.1.1 release;
  • create a clean Python 3.10 or 3.12 environment;
  • run the published lint, tests, verification, and build commands;
  • install and verify the generated wheel in a second environment;
  • publish the complete transcript, including every warning, workaround, or failure.

A failed reproduction is just as important to report as a successful one. The objective is to learn whether another person can use the released artifact without access to my development workspace or private assistance.

The complete checklist is public here:

https://github.com/etblink/nfc-crystallography/issues/6

A successful run would establish independent reproduction of the released software and its compact verification records. It would not constitute independent empirical validation, production readiness, validation of D6–D7, or evidence for NFC as a cosmology or Theory of Everything.

This is independent, solo, AI-assisted research. Public acknowledgement will be included with the reproducer’s permission.
