Current is currently my favourite ico for the month. What I understand is, it’s like a wrapper for all the different media platforms such as Spotify, Youtube, etc. The platform token provides an easy way to pay the user for watching the ads. Also, it is used as payment by the advertisers and for curators and creators. While i’m not sure about the economics of it, I hope it has a sustainable demand for this token by the advertisers.
Current reminds me for other ICOs such as the Brave browsers & AdEx. The thing that differentiates them is probably their approach and initial scope. Current has choose to focus on the music/media industry for a start. Which I think is a smart move. But its not hard to see them going into move platforms in the future.
Team wise, it is hard to beat with their profiles. Of which the most notable is of course Mark Cuban. Their website and mobile app is awesome too. So do check out their website! :D
