Gogolitsyno

The village of Gogolitsyno is located in a hard‑to‑reach place — on the other bank of the Bokhtyuga River, which can only be reached via a wooden pedestrian bridge. There are several bridges leading to the village...and there are also about five such villages...there are dirt roads of varying quality.

All the bridges are different, some are flimsy and dilapidated, but there’s always one sturdy one.

During the off‑season (and I was there during the flood), the bridges get submerged, and sometimes access to the village is lost.

For this reason, there are several floating bridges across the Bokhtyuga River that do not depend on the water level in the river.

I still decided to cross one of the bridges, but I didn’t go to the village.

It was already deep into the night, and I didn’t want to disturb anyone. Besides, there were very few houses in the village, it wasn’t a busy place, and the likelihood of a random passerby—someone you could ignore—showing up was zero.
