Veliky Dvor
How much I longed for nighttime trips to villages when my car was being repaired, and now here I am again, “on the road”! I’ll deviate a bit from the narrative about the trip. Now I’ve realized that the bright summer nights give way to dark autumn nights abruptly and noticeably, because it’s not the length of the day that shortens sharply, but the length of twilight.
Veliky Dvor is a village in the Sokol District of the Vologda Region, located in the Kharovsky direction.

The local residents, who spent their time in their cars, noticed my visit to “their territory” and began to watch me, driving through the streets from time to time.

I keep wanting to call the Veliky Dvor the Bolshoy Dvor. There are so many identical names in different parts of the region, and I keep getting confused.

The tips are quite simple. 1. Take photos of what captures your attention and evokes emotions. 2. You can shoot with budget equipment or even a smartphone; the main thing is to develop your vision and feel the light. 3. Take photos constantly, always, and a lot, and also select the best ones from what you’ve taken. 4. Try not to copy others and develop your own perspective on the world around you — that’s what’s valuable.
