God's best warrior, again?

Once again, I'm taking some time to write. This time, I want to share a drawing I made last year. It was inspired by a photo a friend sent me as a joke, saying, “God, this year I'm going to be your best warrior, let this be my intro,” but I made my own version.
🇪🇸 Buenas tarde amigos de Hive.
Nuevamente me tomo una rato para escribir. Esta vez quiero compartir este dibujo que hice el año pasado. Fue inspirada por una foto que me pasó un amigo a modo de broma tipo “Dios este año si voy a ser tu mejor guerrero déjame que esta sea mi intro” pero yo hice mi propia version.
2024 was a tough year in many ways: economically, emotionally, physically, and I was afraid that 2025 would be the same, so I made this illustration to motivate myself.
Spoiler alert: 2025 was catastrophic.
2024 fue un año duro de muchas maneras, económicamente, emocionalmente, fisicamente, y tenia miedo de que 2025 fuese a ser igual, así que hice esta ilustración para motivarme.

Like most of my recent pieces, this one started with a very messy and cheap sketch.
Como casi todas mis piezas ultimamente, estas empiezan con un thumbnail todo culero.

Here I start to plan the character and overall intention: face, armor and pose.
Aqui empiezo a ddefinir el personaje, la intención, la pose, la armadura.

The armor is heavily inspired, it's actually more like a cosplay of Kael'thas Sunstrider. He is a character from the Warcraft franchise and used to be my go-to pick when I played Heroes of the Storm. Also I'm a huge Blood elves simp.
La armadura esta inspirada fuertemente en Kael’thas Caminante del Sol, un personaje de los juegos de la franquicia Warcraft. era mi personaje elegido cuando jugaba Heroes Of The Storm. también soy muy simp de los elfos de sangre.

Recently, I have decided to revisit this piece and fix some details that were bothering me. Fun fact, I made a selfpersona version with the same armor back in 2017, pretty crazy huh?.
Mas recientemente le hice una revision en el 2026 y le acomodé detalles de la cara que no me habian gustado. y como dato curioso, ya habia pintado una version de un selfpersona con la misma armadura hace tiempo en el 2017, ¿que cosas no?

Well, if you were his best warrior because of the spoiler and you also looked cool, ha ha ha.
It's always good to review our sketches; they can inspire us to create great things. For example, I saw a very old post I made a while ago of a Mechagodzilla I made with recycled materials. That inspired me to make another robot with other materials, and I'm still working on it, but it's inspiration after all. In your case, you revisited that sketch and boom, you even got a profile picture out of it.
Excellent. 2026 will be better and stylish...

Voy a tomarme el tiempo de revisar mis antiguos dibujos, eso es verdad que la inspiración a veces puede venir de cualquier parte. Voy a pasarme por tu blog cuando hagas ese rework del mechagodzilla, seguro te quedará sheverin también, mi mentor solía decir: el que no lo intenta, no mejora, así que hay que seguir practicando y aprendiendo.
