Black hole for sound
Physicists managed to create a "black hole" for sound in laboratory conditions - an object that absorbs all sound waves. This short-lived model (lifetime of about 20 ms) opens up prospects for studying real black holes, in particular, observing the theoretically predicted Hawking radiation, which predicts the evaporation of black holes as their size decreases.
