I hear the door opening
Slowly
And it closes

I see shadows appearing
Quickly
And they disappear

I hear steps approaching
Every night
Stop

I hear voices
Laughter
And screams

I see bloodstains
On the walls
And they vanish

For some, I'm the sleep paralysis
Or even a nightmare
For others, I'm supernatural

But for me
They're just human beings
Haunting me

And they scream, they cry
They scare, they laugh
Stop

I hear the door opening
Slowly
And closing
Every night

What it is MANIM?
It is a free python animation engine. You write the code, and then you see the animation.
This is the code used for this animation.

After producing the raw animation, I edited it on Kdenlive, which is a free program and I also used free effect sounds.

The audio was generated using the free Audacity software. I recorded a random talk and tweaked the audio until it looked scary.
